  • Merpati Airlines have announced plans to commence daily  flights to Rokot airport North Sipura. The smallest aircraft proposed is a Casa 212 STOL 2 ton cargo or16 passenger twin turboprop. Flight time from Padang to Mentawai will be less than 20 minutes.  
  • Our combined turnover on boats and in villas will be sufficient to arrange charter flights if the daily service can not cope. We are negotiating with other operators to  arrange an aircraft on 24/7 standby.
  • A 180 seat fast ferry now serves Sipura island 3 times per week. The crossing takes 3-4 hrs and costs $12 one way.
  • Our luxury yachts can sleep 8 pax for overnight transfers to the mainland on request (2 x day rate) for the ultimate in flexibility and the smallest environmental footprint.
  • You can also book our 12m high speed excursion boats to transfer up to 8 persons at the full day rate. (subject to sea conditions). These boats are on standby for transfers to and from Rokot airport or nearest ferry terminals at no additional cost to owners who stay one week or more.
  • Public  ferries run overnight but these are only fit for the hard core traveller .
  • Padang's new international airport is now fully operational with daily flights to Singapore & KL.
