Miles Walsh - Venture Advisor

Miles has over 30 years of senior management experience within the retail, hardware, software and Internet segments of the technology industry.  As a senior executive with several leading Silcon Valley companies including Businessland, Archive Corporation, Connor Peripherals, Macromedia and Flycast Communications he has consistently been a leader, innovator and key contributor in the building of billions of dollars in shareholder equity.

Since retiring in 1999, he has participated in the launching and on-going growth of the Evan McKenna Foundation, an IRS-approved, non-profit foundation founded by Kay Emerson. Aurelius Yan (Yan)
- Mentawai Health and Community Development Advisor

Yan is the founder of Kirekat Organization, a NGO focused on providing health related services and health education in remote Mentawai villages. Kirekat has been active since 1998 and the organization's field programs have been developed and monitored by Prof Dr Reimar Schefold, a world authority on Mentawai culture and history.


Kirekat Org has acted as the local partner  for Surf Aid Org  over the past 3 years. Yan speaks Mentawai dialects, Minangkabau, Indonesian, Dutch and English and he holds a Masters Degree in Anthropology from Vrije University, Amsterdam.

Michael Fay - Education Advisor - ASEAN FOCUS Group. Michael established the highly respected "Australian Center" in Medan in 1995. The AC is now one of the top English language schools in Indonesia. Michael's role with ASEAN FOCUS includes establishing linkages for distance learning, promotion of  Australian Universities and Academic Institutions for overseas studies and partner acquisition for both foreign and Australian companies.

 




Jesse  & Sam Liddon - Surf  Industry Relations Marketing
Jesse & Sam hold Master 5 commercial skipper's tickets and both are partners in the Dog Rock crayfishing and pearl operations in the Abrolhos Islands. Keen surfers, they have been skippering surf charter boats in the Mentawais since 1997 . Both are active musicians and they have written and recorded a number of commercial tracks. Jesse & Sam plan to take an on-going active role in Mentawai Sanctuary. Sam has funded the construction of his own house in Puncak Bukit Gado2, Padang.
